RESIDENTIAL SOLAR INSTALLATION

EverSolars emphasis on quality extends beyond the obvious solar components, the Panels and Inverter. Yes, a system must have the highest quality of Panels and Inverter combinations, which we definitely have covered. However, the balance of system is also a key factor that gets overlooked when considering a long term solar investment. Electrical components like high quality circuit breakers, stainless steel fixings, cyclone grade panel racking, IP67 safety switches are what comprises of a flawless solar installation. EverSolar only installs systems that will last the distance, knowing that a system can be exposed to the most extreme elements for 40+ years we have left no stone unturned so your investment can be bulletproof for years to come.

How It Works

  1. 1. Capture – Solar panels capture multiple light spectrums (DC power) throughout the day from our sun. The quality and efficiency of your panels will determine how much of the light is captured throughout the day. Time of year is also another factor which will determine much light will be captured.
  2. 2. Conversion – The Inverter will then transfer the newly created DC power to AC power, the efficiency of this process can vary depending on the quality of inverter installed.
  3. 3. Measuring – Your Bi-directional meter (which is installed by your distributor) will import or export the electricity production created by the solar system.
  4. 4. Usage  – Direct usage is generated live for all appliances used. Therefor, all this power is generated free directly by the solar system, saving you hundreds to thousands over the years.
  5. 5. Excess – Any excess power generated by the solar system that is not directly used is sent back to the grid via your electricity retailer, which is payable through the FIT (Feed-In-Tarrif).
  6. 6. Paid – The FIT will be paid to you by your retailer every billing cycle. This will either be in the form of a credit on your bill or direct payment. The FIT (Feed-In-Tarrif) is paid at a current rate of 11.3c (As of July 2017).

  • Tax deductions for residential business (up to 20K).
  • Opportunity for greater energy security and power independence.
  • Solar Power and Battery Storage systems can eliminate all ongoing electricity costs.

FAQ’s

How does it work?
The system converts sunlight into electricity suitable for use in your property during the daylight hours. Your property will still be connected to the electricity grid, which will still be supplying you with power when there is no sunlight.

How effective is the system in winter?
The solar power system relies on sunlight and ultra violet rays, not heat. While there may be less hours of sunlight in winter, the actual conversion of power is unaffected by the change in season.

Why should I consider solar?
A good quality solar installation provides free electricity made at your own doorstep, it enhances your property value, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and protects against increases in cost in power.

Is a warranty provided?
EverSolar provides a 25 Year Power Production Warranty with a 10 Year On-Site service replacement which comprises of no call our charges, parts or labor.

Will a special meter need to be installed?
Yes. Electricity distributors, who are responsible for managing the electricity grid, require special digital meters to be installed. We will liaise with your distributor to ensure the appropriate meter is connected.

Is any maintenance required?
Once installed, the solar power system is maintenance free. We do recommend periodically cleaning the panels to ensure they are performing well and checking the cables every couple of years.

What are STC credits?
When you install a solar power system, you help to reduce carbon emissions. In exchange, the Australian government grants carbon offset credits known as Small-Scale Technology Certificates or ‘STCs’. One STC equals 1 MWh (megawatt-hour) of deemed electricity generation from a renewable source. These STCs are more commonly referred to as the government rebate.

Who installs the system?
EverSolar proudly provides In-House Installation services. Our installers are clean energy council certified and part of the master electricals member.

What happens in the case of a blackout?
For safety reasons, the system will automatically shut down if the normal supply of electricity is interrupted.

Are the panels tested for hailstones?
Yes. Solar panels have been tested for golfball sized hail stones blasted at terminal velocity and they withstand the impact.

Will my home insurance cover my system?
In most cases, the system will be covered by your home and contents insurance policy. You should however contact your insurer to confirm the replacement value in your policy is sufficient to cover your solar power system.

What are the components of a solar power system?
A standard solar power system is made up of three main components: solar panels, an inverter, and the balance of the system which comprises of racking, wiring, conduit safety switches etc. The system is connected to the electricity grid which supplies your home with power when there is no sunlight.

Who installs the system?
EverSolar proudly provides In-House Installation services. Our installers are clean energy council certified and part of the master electricals member.

Do I get paid for excess electricity that I produce?
Yes. It is compulsory for your electricity retailer to purchase the excess electricity produced by your solar power system. This is called a “feed-in tariff” and it turns your solar power system into an income generating asset. Luckily, the FIT has increased from 4c to 11.3c from 1st July 2017.

How much will I save?
The financial benefit provided by solar power will depend on the size and quality of the system. EverSolar designs system that will suit your budget and amount of average Kw that are being utlies in the household. Our aim is to reduce your powerbill by upto 80%.

How much roof space is required?
